This was by far my favorite Joe Abercrombie book. One of the things I liked about the book is that it is a western, set in the same world as The First Law trilogy.

The ending was solid, but it took me a long, long, long time to make it through the middle of the book. I'm glad I did in the end because I liked the totality of the book.
